Dear Dad Obviously I am thinking of you today- your 80th Birthday! I think of you so often but today seems a good day to write something. It still seems insufficient to say I miss you but I do. I miss seeing you, talking to you, just knowing you are there. So many times I have wanted to tell you about my day & funny (odd!) things that people have said. I have thought ‘Dad would know’ when trying to fix something, work out an answer to a problem - or get somewhere. I wish so much that I had saved some of your hand-drawn maps! We do not know what we will miss, until we do! I miss your sayings & your humour, as well as your opinions! I miss talking you about our gardens. …& today I will miss giving you a ‘most acceptable’ birthday present. With my love Tiny x
